But what DOES the PTF help pay for? We’re glad you asked!
For the 2020-2021 school year the PTF helped fund:
- Start-of-year teacher stipends
- HEPA filters for all classrooms
- Rolling media tech cart
- Specialty document reader for the art department
- New playground structure and equipment
- Porta-Potties for the fourth and fifth grade classes
- Outdoor classroom space and pergola
Additional PTF funds helped support our Kirk community building initiatives:
- Welcome Wagon (Back-to-School) goodie bags
- PTF Zoom coffee hour (combination of first board meeting and parents breakfast)
- Bingo events
- Kirk car park cinema night
- Teacher appreciation luncheon
- End-of-Year ice cream treats
Funds were generated by the following events in 2020-2021:
- After school treats (i.e.,Menchie’s, Blinkie’s)
- Kirk’s Great Pumpkin Drive-thru
- Kirk otter t-shirt sales
- Luau
- Scholastic Book Fair
- Takeout Tuesdays
